AMLISS traveled to Duke’s Perkins Library to see their artists’ books exhibit and to hear about the artists’ books collection at the Sallie Bingham Center for Women’s History and Culture. Thank you so much to SILS student Christine Wells for organizing talks to accompany our visit! Kelly Wooten, Research Services and Collection Development Librarian at the Sallie Bingham Center, spoke about curating the artists’ book collection; Meg Brown, Exhibits Coordinator and Special Collections Conservator, spoke about physically displaying the artists’ books; and Christine, an intern at the Sallie Bingham Center, spoke about curating the exhibit. It was a great event, and we’re very lucky to have so many wonderful collections in the area! Click here for more information about the exhibit at Duke.
